CSAIR Marsha Dane Stern Hebrew School
Our Hebrew School is a welcoming, warm and inclusive community of students and their families. Students meet in- person from 9am-12pm on Sundays (grades K-7) and 4pm – 6pm on Wednesdays (grades 2-7). In addition, students in grades 3-7 meet virtually for 20 minutes each week for individual or small group Hebrew instruction.
Our program stresses caring for our students, families, and community; providing knowledge, skills, and experiences infused with meaning and joy.
In our Hebrew School, learners will:
- Master Hebrew reading fluency
- Confidently participate in prayer services
- Experience the customs and traditions of Jewish holidays
- Explore Jewish texts and core narratives
- Discuss Jewish ideas about God, spirituality and life’s big questions
- Care about and feel connected to the Jewish people and the land, people and nation of Israel
- Apply Jewish wisdom and perspectives to their everyday lives
- Feel part of the chain of Jewish history and empowered to help determine the Jewish future
- Become valued members of a diverse and vibrant synagogue community
We welcome students with special needs and offer inclusion resources including differentiated instruction, in-class support and private instruction.
In addition, we provide:
- Early Wednesday afternoon drop-off starting at 3pm
- Events for the entire family such as Shabbat evening and holidays programs
