RJP Sukkot Under the Stars
Monday October 9, 7:00 PM


RJP will be hosting this event for young adults in their 20s-30's. Join us for pizza and drinks, and find out more about our friendly community, which meets year-round for dinners and other events! Fee: $15.00. We will also meet and hear a few words about Sukkot from CSAIR rabbinic intern, Rory Katz, who recently moved to Riverdale.

The Sukkot event will take place in a private Sukkah. Address will be provided upon receipt of registration. Please click here to register.

OPPORTUNITIES TO DINE IN THE SUKKAH

During Sukkot, the CSAIR Sukkah is available for several organized meals that require
pre-registration and a few evenings to drop in with your own dairy dish. Here's what you need to know:

ORGANIZED MEALS

Sisterhood Sukkah Lunch
Thursday, October 5th at 12:30 PM join us for lunch after services.
A few seats remain available - email diannemeranus@msn.com.

Havurah Sukkah Lunch
Friday, October 6th at 12:30 PM. Reservations closed.

Lechu Neranena Sukkah Dinner
Friday, October 6th join us for an intimate, spirited Kabbalat Shabbat service. Come ready to sing and welcome Shabbat, then stay for a catered Shabbat dinner in the Sukkah. Services begin at 5:45 PM. Reservations closed.

DROP-IN TIMES

Drop-in with a dairy meal on the following evenings (please sign-up BEFORE you drop-in by emailing info@csair.org).

  • Wednesday, October 4th (First night of Sukkot) - Arrive by 6:45 PM (Dine until 8 PM)
  • Sunday, October 8th - Arrive before 7:30 PM (Dine until 8:30 PM)
  • Tuesday, October 10th - Dine between 6 PM - 8 PM

GUIDELINES FOR DROP-IN MEALS

  • Email info@csair.org - Please sign-up BEFORE you drop-in.
  • We provide tables, chairs and table coverings.
  • You provide dairy meals made with all kosher ingredients, utensils and plates.
  • Clear your tables and discard all food and trash into available trash cans.
  • Outside food may not be eaten inside our building or brought into our kitchen.

Hurricane Support

CSAIR served as a drop off point to help the victims of Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. Over eighty boxes of supplies were delivered to a Fire Station in Inwood as part of the New York State's response and relief efforts.

Volunteers gathered at CSAIR to help sort, box and transport these items. Thank you to every helping hand and volunteer who made this possible! Thank you to Alyson Spindell for spearheading the collection effort and coordinating with Rabbi Katz to make this possible.
